These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FluentClips website and services (the "Service"), operated by FluentClips ("we," "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
FluentClips is a language-learning tool that turns short video and audio clips into interactive study material β transcripts, translations, a dictionary, vocabulary tracking, and quizzes. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

You are solely responsible for the links you submit and the files you upload ("Your Content"), and for ensuring you have the necessary rights to use them. Much of the material you may process is owned by third parties; you are responsible for complying with those owners' rights and with the terms of any site you retrieve content from. FluentClips is a tool that acts at your direction and does not grant you any rights in third-party content.
You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (and to anyone you choose to share it with).
We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to our contact address below including: (a) your signature (physical or electronic); (b) identification of the copyrighted work; (c) identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it; (d) your contact information; (e) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and (f) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act. We will respond to valid notices and may remove content and terminate repeat infringers.
Some features may require a paid subscription. If and when paid plans are offered, pricing and billing terms will be disclosed to you before you purchase. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you may cancel at any time effective at the end of the current billing period. Applicable taxes may apply. Refunds are handled as disclosed at purchase and as required by law.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that transcripts, translations, or generated questions will be accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FluentClips will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US $100.
You agree to indemnify and hold FluentClips harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any third-party rights.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Virginia for any dispute not subject to other agreed dispute-resolution terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
